A world without Pancreatic Cancer

I do hope you can help me out. During this coming month of September I am challenging myself to walk 84km to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer Research. This type of cancer is very aggressive. Only around 10% of people survive their cancer beyond 1 year after diagnosis and 1% after 3 years or more. Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer in the UK.
My sister lost her husband to this disease some years ago. Dave Quinton was my brother (in law), a huge guiding influence on my teenage years and beyond. He was my Best Man and someone who was fundamentally a good man. I have always aspired to emulate him (although some of you will know I may have slipped on occasions). Some of the rugby fraternity will recall my passion and dedication to training and fitness…so 84km will be a real challenge that even my disabled parking blue badge or Bus Pass will not ease.
