I’m walking in memory of my beautiful friend Clair Wright who died in August less than 8 weeks after diagnosis . She was a friend for over 21 years we all miss her but none more than her family. I hope that any money I raise will go towards vital research to find new and better treatments so that one day no other family has to face this again

Trevor Paulett was more than just my best friend Laura's dad. He was simply astonishing. To Trevor, nothing seemed impossible. He built his career, his life, and his family without fuss, carrying himself with a grace and style that all who crossed his path could only admire. He had a wicked sense of humour, sometimes delightfully cheeky, and was never far from a wry smile or a perfectly timed witty remark. He has left an absolutely gaping hole in the lives of his family. Yet his legacy reaches far beyond those closest to him. He will be remembered not only by his loved ones, but by a much wider community whose lives he touched through his generosity, kindness, and example. Trevor believed in giving back. He helped raise money for charity and, in retirement, volunteered with a sailing charity, giving many people the opportunity to experience the thrill and freedom of being out on the open water. For many of those he taught, it was an experience they might never otherwise have had. This was Trevor. A truly inspirational gentleman whose quiet strength, generosity, and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though he is gone, the impact he had on those around him will continue to ripple outward for years to come.

I’m walking in memory of my beautiful mum Rose who passed away in November 2024 only 4 months after diagnosis. The photo was taken at my daughter’s graduation just before she took unwell and discovered she had Pancreatic Cancer. Such a precious memory of the last special occasion she was well enough to go to.

This year should have been the start of a new future with my wife Ruth. I will be retiring in November and we had so many plans, unfortunately she was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in March 26 and passed away in April 26. The future is different now, but I have walked over 160km and raised over £1000 from some lovely family and friends. Let’s hope that the future for others will be bright. Ruth was always helping others and this fundraiser will hopefully continue that legacy

Last day of the Remember September Challenge! What this challenge taught me is the importance of resilience and how much you are able to do by setting some time from your day for something so important and meaningful. I really want to thank all my sponsors who helped me raise this money for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Forever grateful for all the kindness and the difference it made to my life and for many others! Remembering all the people and their loved ones who are fighting against such a deadly disease. Hoping for a better tomorrow :)

I have completed this walk in honor of my dad, who was taken to soon by this disease in 2010. I truly hope that the money and awareness raised will help more families stay together longer and have the support they need. ‘Be like the sunflower and look for the light’ 🌻 ☀️

I’ve done it! I’ve just completed my final 6km, which takes me to 140km throughout September. Each day I have intentionally walked in memory of our Mum! Your kind words have meant so much - thank you 🙏. The money you have donated will support so many people facing this dreadful disease. Well I have finished my walking challenge today for my lovely sister in law Di who sadly died last March. I walked 176km with my two four legged friends and we enjoyed every minute. Thank you all so much for your kind donations. ❤️❤️

In July this year, my world changed forever. I lost my wonderful Grandad, my ‘Gang’. 🤍 Gang was such a huge part of my life and an absolutely amazing man. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and after putting up an incredible fight for almost two years, sadly lost his battle. Gang never gave up. He defied the odds and always said he wasn’t going out without a fight. His birthday falls on the last day of September, which makes this challenge even more personal to me. It has given me a purpose, something to focus on and a reason to get out there and keep going, even on the days when it feels hard. Gang was loved by so many and his memory will live on through all of us who were lucky enough to know him. This one is for you, Gang. 🤍

I have no words to express how much hate i have for this vile and awful cancer. This cancer took away not just my daddy in record time but it took away the person I admired the most, the person I was looking up to my entire l ife and the person who was always there for me no matter what... I will never forgive you, silent and harsh killer for taking away my daddy!!! Even with my ongoing feet issues and treatments especially in the past month I am proud that I managed to achieve and exceeded expectations. Please join. I’m fortunate enough that no loved one has suffered from pancreatic cancer however that’s not the case for everyone. I’m walking for those facing this on their own, for those who can’t walk, for everyone. Remember September isn’t just for your family and friends; it’s for your neighbour, the stranger you walked past on the street, the person you accidentally bumped into in the supermarket. Remember September is for everyone!
