I’m remembering my lovely sister, Karen Milnes, who we lost in April. She was taken far too soon, less than a month after her 58th birthday. We had only 11 weeks with her after her diagnosis, hardly enough time to come to terms with her illness, let alone losing her. She will live on in our hearts and memories. We will cherish the time we had with her. I am walking this month to raise money for research so that as few people as possible have to go through what we have been through 🫶🏻 xxx

I last walked for PCUK in 2024, when my amazing friend Diane had been diagnosed & died within 4 months. My Bestest had been diagnosed just a few weeks later, devastating news. But she fought tooth & nail with her mantra of..' medical miracles!!' & a rye smile & a wink. My darling Jane succumbed to this vile & loathsome disease on April 24th this year. My hearts broken...I dont know how to mend it...49 years of friendship, love, laughter & frolics...gone. So ive picked up my trainers to see if I can shake some melancholy & maybe raise a little money for her...she loved a cause...niw shes mine...💔❤️‍🩹💜

Walking to raise awareness & vital funds for the second time in honour & memory of dad who died Dec’21 of Pancreatic Cancer….discovered far too late for him, despite SO MANY signs & symptoms over the years…his biological mum also died of this vile disease at exactly the same age. During his many investigations / procedures and his month long hospitalisation dad agreed to donate cells for ongoing research through Lancaster University, he knew nothing could be done for him, but hoped his cells might go someway to understand Pancreatic Cancer further…he died in hope so we should live in hope today and look to a future where more is understood about Pancreatic Cancer and more lives are saved. My wonderful (fabulous) brother died of this horrible disease, it's heartbreaking to see such an incredible human being taken in such away. Iam sure he would be encouraged to know so many are supporting the fund raising to make a difference in how this disease can be diagnosed treated and eventually eradicated. Ps i will be wearing the lovely cardigan he made me with my t shirt ( picture below)

cancer. Jules My lovely Mum died March 2022 of pancreatic cancer. I have chronic asthma but I'm determined to do this challenge...even if I'm a bit slow. Drove to the coast today and walked 5 miles. It wasn't far from many cottage holidays I had with my Mum and son. She was always there for me, unconditional love at its finest. Always missed and forever loved 🩷
