After a hell of a year in 2022, a few family and friends battling and beating breast cancer, we thought it could only be up from here.
How wrong we were, not long after my mother got the all clear from breast cancer, she started with the early signs of pancreatic cancer in September 22. After many tests and scans in December 2022 we got the diagnosis, terminal pancreatic cancer. Even typing the words just tears my heart apart.
You never think something like this will affect you or your family but here we are. This cancer has picked one tough cookie to have a fight with. My mother, the strongest and bravest person I know, is really giving it her all to show this cancer who is boss. she is thankfully still with us, and she wants us all to help, to try and prevent any more families having to go through what we are going through.
