I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
November is pancreatic cancer awareness month and I know how important it is to raise awareness. More than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. It’s hard to diagnose and hard to treat and can affect anyone.
My Dad was one of the healthiest people I knew, he was slim, in good shape and very active. Then one day he started getting stomach pain that wouldn’t go away. A month and a half later he was diagnosed with incurable pancreatic cancer, and 7 months later he died. He was 53, and the absolute center of mine, my Mum’s and my little sister’s world.
3.5 years have passed seemingly in a blink of an eye and this year I want to raise awareness. I have collaborated with some lovely small businesses to put together a handmade hamper that we will raffle. Due to the number of businesses taking part, we will split this hamper into three, so there will be three lucky winners each receiving 9 lovely prizes from small businesses!
