Michael's story

Michael Barratt has organised the Julian Williamson Memorial golf day in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK since 2013 and has raised over £45,000 to date. Michael says:

“I’m incredibly honoured and proud to have seen The Julian Williamson Memorial event grow from 30 people in the first year, to the #1 golf event and #13 overall event in Pancreatic Cancer fundraising.

My sincere thanks go out to all the golfers who have helped support and grow the event, to the volunteers, sponsors, golf courses and staff - without whom none of this would be possible.

The outpouring of emotion from the family as the final total of £45,506 was revealed just demonstrates how much this means us - and makes all the efforts of the last 12 years worthwhile.”
