I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Only 5 - 10% of pancreatic cancer patients live beyond 5 years from their diagnoses (my Mum made 4) This is due to the fact that initially pancreatic cancer tends to be silent and painless as it grows, by the time it is large enough to cause symptoms the cancer has grown outside of the pancreas. To help raise funds for research, and care for patients diagnosed I am taking on the ‘Challenge 24’ challenge, in deciding what to do I thought I would do something to help benefit my own health and get me off my bum, so I will be getting myself out for a 5 mile walk every day for the next 24 days.
