Support my challenge to create a future where people survive pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking 84km for the 84 people who die from pancreatic cancer every 3 days in the UK.
My wife Karen died in 2009 from pancreatic cancer, leaving her two children who were 1 and 4. Like many suffers of pancreatic cancer, by the time she was diagnosed we were told it was stage 4, had metastasised and she had less than 6 months to live. Through a sheer determination to beat the cancer, she lived well for 18 months and managed to see our daughter 4th birthday.
17 years on, pancreatic cancer is still one of the deadliest yet most underfunded of all the cancers. I’d like to raise more money to change that.
