My target 24 mi
I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
This November, as it’s pancreatic cancer awareness month and
20 years since our dad passed away from pancreatic cancer, my brother Michael
and I are doing Challenge 24 to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK. It’s
called Challenge 24 because 24 people die from pancreatic cancer in the UK
every day. For this challenge, I will be doing a 24-mile walk from Worcester to
Malvern and back, and Michael will be taking on 24 different challenges over
the course of November, including roller skating, running and skipping. It’s a
very important charity to us so we’d appreciate any donations, even small, and it’s
not just about donating money to this amazing charity, but also to spread
awareness of one of the worst forms of cancer. Symptoms often go undiagnosed
until the cancer has spread and it’s too late, which is why it has such a high
mortality rate. That’s why we feel we need to do our bit to spread awareness,
particularly on such a significant milestone and to honour the lives of our dad
and many others who have not been able to beat this illness. If you want to
