We are 6 friends who are determined to raise as much as we can to support Pancreatic Cancer UK. Our drive and focus comes from witnessing the strength and bravery of our good friend Sinead, her family and her Mum Pauline, who sadly died of Pancreatic cancer in January 2018.
I cannot adequately put into words how incredible Sinead and her family are in their resolve to do all they can to support the research into Pancreatic Cancer, their courageous fundraising and determination to let Pauline's strength of character, generosity and kindness live on in what they do now and going forwards is a testamant to their wonderful family.
Why the 3 Welsh Peaks?
Well our own personal Welshy Myfanwy (Bethan Pankhurst previously Jones) had the idea and what better way of showing our own little piece of determination by climbing the 3 highest peaks in Wales in 24 hours in the country where most of us met. Most of us studied at Cardiff University and formed amazing friendships which we hope will help us in achieving this challenge.
They are the highest peaks in North, Mid and South Wales;
Snowdon at 3560f ft
Cadair Idris at 2930 ft
Pen-y-fan at 2907 ft
So.. we will ascend 7657 ft in 24 hours.
Any support at all, in words, sharing our page or donating we would be so grateful for and when we reach each peak we will send up our love to Pauline, an incredible lady and our love outwards to all our family and friends who support us in this challenge.
