I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month
On the 29th of September 2023 my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He suffered a 9 month battle with cancer until he sadly passed away on the 29th of may 2024. In those 9 months I watched my dad suffer through so much pain. Cancer tried its hardest to take my dads personality away and turn him into a different man but my dad never allowed that. Each day he would still have a smile on his face and use his precious time hanging out with me and my family. Even though he was struggling himself he would still always find time to support everyone. Some days dad was the one telling me that everything was going to be okay. My dad was always there for me no matter what, he used to hold my hand everywhere we went and I miss that more than anything. My dad was the kindest and bravest man I have ever known and I'm sure many people could agree with that. I was 14 when he passed away and ever since he's been gone there has been an unbearable pain in my heart that I don't think can ever be healed. But, I think that shows how much I truly love him. This is why this November I'm going to take on "Challenge 24". That is jogging, walking or cycling 24 miles for pancreatic cancer. I would love if I could raise some money for this charity. I hope this will help people who are battling this awful disease. I also hope this will help spread awareness about pancreatic cancer. It is the third deadliest cancer in the world and it is often diagnosed far too late. Every day in the uk 24 people die from pancreatic cancer, this needs to change. Together, we will bring more than hope to people affected by pancreatic cancer. if you have some spare time please share this around social media and donate if you can. I hope doing this will make my dad proud.
I love you with my whole heart dad xxx
