I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
I am so lucky to have a achieved a place in the UTMB Ballot (Ultra Trail Mon Blanc) in Chamonix which is 171k long and 10,000 m of ascent). This will be one of toughest running challenges in my life so far. I have a running friend who also loves to run in the Mountains and it would be her dream to take part in this iconic event however she is facing a much greater and harder battle, fighting pancreatic cancer . Despite this she continues to run when she can and shows such courage while facing the onslaught of chemotherapy treatment.
Because of this I would like to try to raise funds to help research and fight this terrible disease. selfishly while running it will help me focus during the tough periods to know that by completing this challenge I will be helping others in particular my friend.
