I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Every day in the UK, 24 people die from pancreatic cancer. 

Having lost my dad to this cruel disease in 2013, I have decided to mark what would have been his 80th year. This November, I will attempt my own ‘24 themed’ duathlon. I’ll pick a dry day and cycle 24 miles, run 24 K run (15 miles) and finally cycle another 24 miles.

While I do enjoy a weekly spin and the odd run, I am yet to do these back to back, so this will be a challenge for me.

Pancreatic cancer is the least funded and subsequently, the least researched of all cancers in the UK. We need to change this and therefore any amount you can sponsor WILL have an impact.

So chuffed to have almost reached £500 - this amount has exceeded my expectations by far! 

Ran my furthest distance yesterday and while I did enjoy, my knees are punishing me today. I can’t make a habit of these distances, but for now, I’ll think of the cause.

Delighted to have received so many generous sponsors for this event. After a short spin today, I found a 10 miler quite hard going, mainly because of very cold feet (Raynauds in full swing)! Note to self, thermal socks needed for the next training session.
