Thanks everyone who sponsored me for this challenge. I knew it was going to be hard....but it was really hard after round 45 onwards, the only aim was not to end up stood still being a punch bag and keep throwing shots right until the end which you can see on the live video 😁

Remembering Nigel Whittaker - 60 Rounds of Sparring

We lost the most amazing person on 27th October 22 to pancreatic cancer. Nige is missed deeply by all who knew him and we will never fully get over the loss we all suffered. 

Nige was a wonderful husband to my Mum and the best Dad myself and my brother could have wished for. The whole family miss him greatly but we remember the good times to get us through.

To mark his one year anniversary I'm going to challenge myself and put myself through some pain. On Saturday 28th October I'm going to do 60 rounds of sparring, Nige was 60 when he passed away so this seems a good number to aim for.
Each round will be 1.5 mins with 30 seconds rest in between, it's not going to be an easy challenge by any means but it's nothing in comparison to what Nige endured during his cancer battle.

The sparring will be held at Genjitsu Darwen and I will be fighting my fellow Masters, Black Belts and students so it will be a challenge to last 60 rounds for sure, the rounds will be recorded on video and regular Facebook live videos will be done throughout the challenge.
