in 2023, my wonderful father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

we'd all heard the stories - perfectly healthy people gone within weeks.
it's a truly horrific disease, the effects of which i wish i didn't understand quite so well.
i can only imagine how bad dad's final years were.
but he never once complained.
he got on with it, surviving setback after setback.
seriously stoic. unwaveringly admirable. just wow.
for those who didn't know him, he was the strongest man, the bravest soul, the brightest mind, the sharpest wit, the biggest inspiration.
my sisters and i were incredibly lucky to have him as our dad.
please give me (extra) impetus to move my ass this september.
dad never approved of being fat and miserable :)
