Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer in the UK.

Right now, 31 people are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day in the UK.

So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 84km remember those we've lost, and stand with those affected by pancreatic cancer.

💜 Climbing Ben Nevis for Pancreatic Cancer UK 💜 On 18th September, I’ll be taking on the challenge of climbing Ben Nevis to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK. I’ve chosen to support pancreatic cancer because it can be incredibly difficult to diagnose in its early stages. The symptoms can be vague and easily mistaken for other conditions, meaning that sadly many people are diagnosed when the cancer is already advanced. Around 8 in 10 people are diagnosed at an advanced stage, when treatment options can be more limited. More research is desperately needed to help find pancreatic cancer earlier, develop better treatments and ultimately save more lives. I feel particularly passionate about supporting people and their families through such an incredibly difficult and uncertain time. A cancer diagnosis can have such a huge impact, and I believe that having access to the right information, support and someone there to guide you through those difficult moments can make such a difference. I’ll also be taking part in Remember September, walking throughout the month alongside my Ben Nevis challenge. My fundraising target is £564, which could help fund a Pancreatic Cancer UK Support Line nurse for 3 days. Every donation, no matter how big or small, could help provide support, improve understanding, fund vital research and ultimately help make a difference to people affected by pancreatic cancer.
