I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month
Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer. More than half of people die within three months of diagnosis.
In 2022 my dad had severe abdominal pain which at first was brushed off as light pancreatitis due to being diabetic.
31st of May 2022 he went into a&e due to some bad blood tests
13th June 2022 diagnosed stage 4 pancreatic
3rd of July 2022 passed away.
47 years young.
This disease is usually a silent killer. Symptoms don’t show from tumours on the pancreas alone usually symptoms show when it spreads to the nearby organs usually the liver which at this point it is usually stage 3/4 and prognosis is extremely poor.
More should be done towards this cancer so I am doing this fundraiser in hopes to make a small difference in helping fight this nasty disease.
