53 Miles for Kieren 💜

This September I’m taking part in Pancreatic Cancer UK’s Remember September, walking 53 miles over the month and aiming to raise £530.

The Remember September challenge is based around 84 km (just over 52 miles), reflecting the devastating number of people who die from pancreatic cancer every three days. However, I’ve chosen to walk 53 miles for a very personal reason.

My older brother Kieren died last September, aged 53, so September is a particularly poignant month for me and my family.

Those who knew Kieren will know how much he loved walking and being outdoors. He was often out before the sun was up. I suspect he’d have walked 53 miles in a week!

I’d really like to raise as much as I can for Pancreatic Cancer UK, supporting people and families affected by pancreatic cancer and funding research into earlier diagnosis and better treatments.

Every donation, however big or small, would be greatly appreciated. And if you’re not able to donate, sharing my fundraising page is another way to support my challenge and help raise awareness of pancreatic cancer.
