I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
A charity very close to my heart. Unfortunately I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer on the 27th December 2019. She was diagnosed with terminal stage 4 cancer on the 10th December and Unfortunately had a very short 'known' battle for less than 3 weeks. She suffered for 18 months minimum before she was diagnosed. Pancreatic cancer is tough to diagnose, tough to treat and tough to research. Please support me and help make a difference to pancreatic cancer. I can sit here and wonder why this wasn't found sooner, I can sit here and wonder why my mom was chosen. But I refuse to see the negatives in this situation because I know my mom wouldn't want me to. She would want me to look at the positives. The positives to me are.... I got to have those last 3 weeks by my moms side, talking about all the things she would love to do... discussing what songs she would want at her funeral... talking, singing and laughing, even in the times where I was grieving so badly! I wanted my last days to be special and comforting to my mom and thats exactly what we did. Some people may not see my positives as positives, but to me they are! Not many people get to discuss these things or say goodbye. It was the biggest shock of my life, hearing the news that my mom had stage 4 cancer and I'll never forget that day, but most importantly I'll never forget the love, honesty, knowledge, support and advice my mom gave to me! I'll carry on her legacy of being an honest positive woman like she was ! 💕
