I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
November is Pancreatic Cancer awareness month and I am taking on the challenge in memory of my wonderful Dad, Mike.
We lost my Dad to Pancreatic Cancer very recently. He was diagnosed on 4th September and he passed away on 17th September. Less than 2 weeks......2 weeks.
We knew very little about this aggressive disease and it has been a shock to learn that 24 people die from Pancreatic Cancer every day. Half of which lose their fight within 3 months.
My challenge is to walk 24 miles of the Yorkshire Wolds Way in 1 day from Millington to Wintringham. I am hoping to do the walk between the 7th & 9th November; which ever day has the best weather!
Although it is only weeks since I lost my Dad, I cannot think of a better time to get out there and help to make a difference. Any funding that I can raise will go towards research, not only to find new treatments but to improve the speed of diagnosis.
