Karen, Bruce and Jack are fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of Sandra Howes

In July 2022 Bruce’s sister was sadly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and sadly passed 9 weeks later.

We feel her loss every day as does he husband Nigel and her mum Joan.

As a family, we will cycle 24 miles in November to raise money for more research in the hope that scientists can find better ways to diagnose and treat pancreatic cancer.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and we are fundraising to help drive research breakthroughs that could save lives.

Pancreatic cancer has been left behind. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers. 

Sadly, for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. Currently, more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. This is unacceptable. 

The funds I raise could support research into early detection and better treatments, and provide health professionals with the tools they need to spot patients’ symptoms earlier.
