In loving memory of

To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die
A camino to remember.
Physical movement through sacred ground has long been humanity's way of processing what words alone can't hold.
This September, I'm walking part of the Camino de Santiago, and it feels right to use some of my journey to honour souls we can no longer see.
I would like to dedicate 84km of my camino to them, keeping their memory alive. I'll walk through Galicia, in the country that I grew up in and where I have fond memories of my Dad. I'll be remembering our bike rides down the river, days spent at 'our beach', the laughs, the energy and the feeling that everything would be okay because my Dad was there with me. It will also be a personal time of deep reflection, about who and where I am now. I am walking the camino alone, but I know he'll be there with me as a reminder that love doesn't require physical presence to remain real, and that solitude and companionship aren't opposites.
I will keep walking for those who no longer can.
