My Fundraiser for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

As many of you may not know, my stepdad, Andy, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year. This news came as a huge shock to all of us—his family, and of course, to Andy himself and our wonderful Mum, Debbie. As a student at the University of Lincoln, living away from home, I want to do something meaningful to show Andy, my mum, and our family, as well as everyone else facing similar experiences, that they are in my thoughts every day. Watching my family navigate the challenges of a cancer diagnosis has been incredibly difficult. However, we are managing the best we can, and I am truly grateful for our close-knit network of loving family members. I am excited to take on the 24-mile challenge this November to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research. This will help facilitate earlier diagnoses and the discovery of new treatments. Thank you to everyone who donates to this cause and supports my family—it means everything to us.

My donations could fund...

9

hours with a nurse on our support line

DAY 1 OF 40 MILES FOR PANCREATIC CANCER UK

2 miles done today... 38 miles to go!!

Me and Bradley went for an evening stroll up to the cathedral, with a few pit stops for a sausage roll and a drink along the way!

So far...

Due to already raising over half of my goal for Pancreatic Cancer UK, I have decided to increase the number of miles I will be completing this November to 40 miles.
I would like to thank everyone who has donated so far, this means so much to me and my family and I am extremely grateful!!
So far we have raised enough to contribute to 3 more hours of early diagnosis research and funded 6 hours of support line workers supporting those battling pancreatic cancer.
I cannot wait to start my challenge in November!!
Any additional donations will go a long way!❤️❤️

The GP mistook Andy's early symptoms for IBS. Early detection has to become the norm; it's crucial to survival. I hope you raise lots of money for awareness and research, so others don't have to go through the suffering that Andy is. Good luck, Jess xxx
