Remember September 2026

In loving memory of

Richard Deadman

26/11/1961 - 13/03/2024

To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die

I’m fighting for a world without pancreatic cancer

My Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November 2020, he fought it head on with an operation and different bouts of chemotherapy. In that time he also had added complications of blood clots, a leg amputation, sepsis and a stroke. The cancer eventually spread and he lost his fight in March 2024.

When he was diagnosed, he fundraised for PCUK every year and usually made it to the top fundraisers list! Since he has been gone, I have tried to carry on his legacy each year by completing a fundraising challenge myself:

With this in mind, in September, i’m walking 84km for the 84 people who die from pancreatic cancer every 3 days in the UK.

Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer in the UK. My Dad was the strongest and bravest person i’ve ever known 💜

Right now, 31 people are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day in the UK.

Please make a donation to support me, and together, We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.

Thank you for reading and as always, thank you so much for any donations - they are very gratefully received💜💜

My Tribute Post

I am remembering my Dad, who lost his fight in March 2024. He spent 3 1/2 years fighting pancreatic cancer and raising huge amounts of money for PCUK so I am trying to do the same in his name 💜
