I’m taking on this challenge for my lovely mum, who was dearly loved by so many of us. This September marks 20 years since Mum passed away from pancreatic cancer. So this month, I’m walking for Pancreatic Cancer UK to honour Mum, remember her, and think of all the other people who have been taken too soon.

This September, I'm walking 84km for the 84 people who die from pancreatic cancer every 3 days in the UK.
Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer in the UK.
Right now, 31 people are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day in the UK.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 84km remember those we've lost, and stand with those affected by pancreatic cancer.

September 17th
Today makes 20 years since mum left us . I walked with Freddie this afternoon and thought how much she would have loved him - and what a great Gran she would have been to him. I’m so thankful for all the generous donations everyone has given for ‘Remember September’. It will fund the important research needed for early detection and a cure. After her diagnosis, she lived for just seven more weeks. So this month, I’m walking for Pancreatic Cancer UK to honour Mum, remember her, and think of all the other people who have been taken too soon. Research and early detection are so important, and so is supporting the incredible healthcare teams who care for people during treatment and at the end of life.
