I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer. More than half of people die within three months of diagnosis.

Survival rates for other cancers have improved dramatically in recent years. But decades of underfunding mean we still don’t have the tests and treatments to tackle this disease. People with pancreatic cancer have been overlooked and ignored for far too long.

That’s why I’m fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK and I'd really appreciate your support. Your donations will support vital, world-leading research, ensure specialist nurses are there to take more calls and fuel campaigns to drive positive change.

Together, we will bring more than hope to people affected by pancreatic cancer.

My donations could fund...

59

hours with a nurse on our support line

28

hours of early diagnosis research

My Updates

Day 30 - Last Day

Well what a month, there have been highs and lows. I completed my personal challenge to walk 24 miles in 1 day on Day 16.
I completed my walk of 240 miles in 24 days.  But the most amazing bit is the amount raised £1600.  I can't thank every body who has given a donation enough. Thank you.
I had a little break from walking from 26th Nov to today and I just couldn't do it, get up and go.  Nothing left and that was my low. Today I walked with a friend, up a very steep hill, it rained, low cloud, no visibilty, and a cold wind.  I enjoyed it so much.  It was great to be back. Although this whole walk has come about through the loss of my dad its been amazing.

Day 17 - Update

What an amazing few days. I walked a mini challenge yesterday and walked 24 miles in 24 hours - however I actually did 26. I really enjoyed it and the sense of achivement is amazing.  Truthfully getting out if bed and back in my trainers at 5.30am was very difficult and I just couldn't get my speed up - until mile 7 when I saw a Robin & thought of dad. I managed a further 5 mile walk.
My total miles walked so far in November is 182.5 miles.

Day 14 - nearly half way through the month!

I am just totally overwhelmed by very generous family & friends and your incedible support.
Thank you - I won't let you down. Xx

DAY 11

95 miles completed. 145 left to walk 💜💜💜

Day 9

Wow - thank you to all my generous sponsors - I won't let you down.
Thank you.  I've walked 77.5 miles so far - not bad to say the emotions that I am feeling.  If this helps raise awareness to help one family, one person - then I will be happy.
Thank for your good wishes and generous support xx

Day 3 Update

Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me on my challenge to walk 240 miles in November 2024.
