I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Anyone who knows me knows I love to run. Short distances. On the flat. I don’t like hills. This October I am taking on marathon Eryri. This will be my first marathon. And it’s not just any marathon…….its hilly! With over 3000ft of elevation this is going to be a mega challenge for me! 

I work in the field of cancer diagnosis, so see the effects of this disease on a daily basis. Pancreatic cancer has affected my family and my close friends’ lives with devastating effects. Unfortunately, this disease is usually diagnosed too late to treat. Sadly, we lost my lovely aunty Jacky earlier this year to this horrible disease, just a few months after diagnosis. She would be laughing at me taking on this challenge and telling me to just put my feet up instead. I want to help raise awareness and help to make breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of this devastating disease in some small way. Any donation is greatly received ❤️

We go above and beyond for everyone affected by this disease. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.

We bring more breakthroughs through research, more change through campaigning, and more support through our expert nurses. We make more noise because people have gone unheard. We are relentless because the disease is ruthless. We care more because people feel forgotten.
