A 2,000km tribute ride to honour my father and raise awareness for pancreatic cancer.
Just over five years ago, we lost our father, Emin, to pancreatic cancer. His passing left a silence that words couldn’t fill. On the day he died, I felt helpless and unable to ease his pain, unable to change the outcome. But I made a quiet promise to myself: that one day, I would do something to honour him. Something that would carry his memory and legacy forward and offer hope, solidarity, and love to others walking through the same darkness.
This September, I’ll be cycling 2,000km from his home in North London to his resting place in Prishtina, Kosovo. This is not a race, but a pilgrimage of memory and meaning. A journey across borders, that will help spread my father’s legacy of kindness and sacrifice. I’m doing this to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer, to support those affected by it, and to celebrate the life of a man who gave our family so much.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive and least understood cancers. Early detection is rare, and treatment options are limited. By supporting this ride, you’re helping fund research, raise awareness, and bring light to families who feel lost in the shadows.
Every kilometre I ride, I will ride for Emin and for his memories. Every donation you give, will bring us closer to a future where fewer families have to say goodbye too soon.
