I'm decided to fund raising something close to my heart..

Hey everyone,   I've decided to help raise some money for a Charity very close to my heart.  So on Thursday 4th January 2024 my Beautiful Mum and Best Grannie to my Boy, got diagnosed with Terminal Cancer, Pancreatic that had spread to her Liver so we were told there was no treatment for her,  this was the most devastating news to ever recieve as a family and had to just be there for our beautiful Mum and Grandma and beautiful wife to my Dad and an amazing sister to her sisters.  We were told that she would have 3-6 months without treatment and 9-12 months with treatment,  my Mum got offered a trial to see if it would work but unfortunately after 9 gruellling chemotherapy session's my Mum's cancer in her pancreas didnt do anything only shrunk the tumours in her liver so at this point they couldn't do any more for Mum, so we were told the news no more treatment.  So a few weeks later after being told no more treatment we sadly lost our beautiful Mum on the 13th June at 71 years old,  so this is why I want to do this to help raise for this awful disease.  Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer. More than half of people die within three months of diagnosis.

Survival rates for other cancers have improved dramatically in recent years. But decades of underfunding mean we still don’t have the tests and treatments to tackle this disease. People with pancreatic cancer have been overlooked and ignored for far too long.
