I dyed my hair purple on 15 June 2023 to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

My grandad died of pancreatic cancer 51 years ago.  Back then, 3% of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survived five years or more.  That figure is less than 7% even today.  Even at the age of 70, I still miss my grandad, and I dyed my hair purple in his memory.  I can imagine what he would have to say about it, but I hope he would be proud of me for doing it.  Please sponsor me, and help fund the research that can save more lives.

Pancreatic cancer is the 5th biggest cancer killer in the UK with 9,000 deaths every year.

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival of all common cancers, with five-year survival less than 7%.

Five-year survival of pancreatic cancer in the UK lags behind the rest of the world, with the UK ranking 29th out of 33 countries with comparable data.
