I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
I already had serious beef with pancreatic cancer after it took Aretha Franklin in 2018; the following year it got personal when my Dad aka CJ, aka Chrissy, was diagnosed with the same.
We were very lucky that it was caught early and after some very gruelling treatment, he is still with us. The pubs and rugby clubs of Norfolk are breathing a sigh of relief.
Sadly this cancer is very difficult to detect and treat - 24 people a day die of pancreatic cancer in the UK. So that's why, between 1-24 of July, I am going to try and run 24 miles in 24 days to try to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
I injured my ankle in January and have not run since, so this is going to be interesting...
