I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
January 20th 2020 my dearest momma was diagnosed with Pan Can not too shortly after we found out it was Stage 4 with it having spread to her liver. đ Who wants to hear that. Our lives absolutely shattered when we heard the prognosis... 6-9 months. Wtf!!! Palliative chemotherapy to try and shrink the evil cancer. Its been one hell of a roller-coaster since then. Day 4 after the 1st infusion of chemo momma took a huge nose dive. Pain and sickness not being controlled. Ct scan showed the cancer in the liver has progressed, heart wrenching đAfter a 2 week stint in hospital getting the pain and sickness finally under control, momma was diagnosed with diabetes. An unfortunate effect of the pan can. X2 daily doses of insulin amongst the cocktail of drugs to help keep things on an even keel, momma is home and ready to start the next cycle of chemo. We can only hope and pray momma tolerates this better than the initial infusion. Time will tell.Â
Pancreatic cancer is tough to diagnose, tough to treat and tough to research.Â
Momma had two indicators of something wrong with her pancreas, collapsing and fitting twice (last one in only 2019) when out in supermarkets. No tests were given, a diagnosis of lag storage disease and to monitor her blood sugars. If only they had done a CT scan they would have seen the tumour before it had reached the stage it is now. MORE TESTING NEEDS TO BE DONE. Please support me and help make a difference to pancreatic CANCER.Â
Momma continues her fight and is determined to be one of the few that defy the odds.Â
I'm asking for your support to help fight this evil evil disease and fight for earlier screening and testing. Pan Can can be hereditary so things NEED TO CHANGE.... NOW!!!!Â
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Every penny, pound can really help make a difference so please please support me and my beautiful precious Momma as we fight this God awful disease.Â
Love and lightÂ
