This September, I'm walking 84km for the 84 people who die from pancreatic cancer every 3 days in the UK.
Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer in the UK.
Right now, 31 people are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day in the UK.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 84km remember those we've lost, and stand with those affected by pancreatic cancer.

Swimming gala escape
A busy swimming gala weekend! However I was not officiating for the Sunday morning session and so I was joined by the lovely Zuraida to explore the countryside and footpaths near Dover leisure centre. Share

When life starts to bite back
My main fear about this challenge was that I simply wouldn't have. I have amazed myself at my progress so far! However I hit a spanner in the works yesterday when I had a call to pick my son up from school.... And yes he has broken his leg! He needs me and time feels more illusive then ever. Yet I know I need some me time. However today a friend stayed with him for an hour so that I could get out for a walk!!! It really is a team effort and certainly not completed in my own power!!! Some great life lessons there. I'm still going, I'm still pushing ,I'm still marching on in the fight against pancreatic cancer xx Share
Olympic adventures
The kids are swimming at the olympic park today in London. Will I let that stop me- no! After a 4.45am alarm and a drive to london.we went for a little stroll around olympic park and the Hackney canal network during warm up!! Great to explore it a bit more and find some traces of the good old east end between the shiny new bits. Share
White cliffs to St Margaret's bay and return.
The white cliffs are so often seen as a sign of hope. Hope of peaceful times in world war 2. So I'm hoping today my footsteps up and down those cliffs can bring some hope to those I know and those I don't who are fighting pancreatic cancer right now.
Morning Stroll
Beautiful morning walk! Up before the world today- walked from home to Recover and back. Calm and sun coming up. It is going to be a lovely day!!! 🙂 Share
A potter around Canterbury
Today the kids wanted to do a last minute practice catching the bus before they go back to school tomorrow. So they caught the bus and I drove in- parked a little way out and walked in and around the town and then walked back to the car with the family. Bit overcast but warm. Busy and less scenic but a lot of history around me. Walking with the shadows of our past. 🙂 Share
Day 1- off to a steady start
Lovely evening walk from Whitstable pool to the far side of Long Rock and back along Tankerton slopes. A lovely walk but lots more to do!!! Share
