Year 2: 50 Miles for Dadđź’™

By Becca Elliot

I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

In 2024, just before Christmas, my Dad was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and given 6 months to live. Sadly, we only got around 8 weeks with himđź’”

At the time, I was in the early stages of my second trimester and already a mum to a 1.5 year old, so it was a really emotional and difficult time for us as a family.

In May last year, I decided to do something in his memory and set myself the challenge of walking 100 miles while 28+ weeks pregnant. It was tough at times, but I absolutely loved it. It gave me something to focus on, helped me through my grief, and made me feel closer to my Dad

This year, I want to do it all over again đź’™

Life looks a bit different now. I’m a mum of two beautiful little girls, so I won’t be taking on 100 miles this time. Instead, I’ll be walking 50 miles throughout May in memory of my Dad.

Every mile is for him and to help raise awareness of Pancreatic Cancer.

If you can support in any way, whether that’s donating or even just sharing, it would honestly mean so much to me and my family 💙

My donations could fund...

3 hours with a nurse on our Support Line

or

1 hour of early diagnosis research
