I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Pancreatic cancer is tough to diagnose, tough to treat and tough to research. Please support me and help make a difference to pancreatic cancer.

lost my Aunt at the young age of 64 to pancreatic cancer in November 2018. After an eight month battle with triple negative breast cancer and having been told that she was clear after chemotherapy and surgery she didn’t get better. A few weeks later, she was given the devastating news that she had pancreatic cancer which had already started to spread. The cancers were unrelated.

A woman who spent over forty years in the medical profession, had cared for thousands of people and delivered many babies as a midwife. She was a much loved wife, mother and aunt. This is a cruel disease which can go undetected and can take our loved ones away from us so quickly.

Pancreatic cancer scares me, there is not enough speed in diagnosis nor treatment and I want to raise awareness of this and support PCUK.

My challenge is to swim the equivalent of 24 miles in 24 weeks ending on the first anniversary of her passing. No mean feat for me as someone who rarely gets the time to properly exercise with a full time job, two human kids and one canine baby.

Please support me

Thanks
