I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Pancreatic cancer is tough to diagnose, tough to treat and tough to research. Please support me and help make a difference to pancreatic cancer.

Together we can transform the future.

My donations could fund...

29 hours with a nurse on our Support Line

or

13 hours of early diagnosis research

The finish line

I made it, thankyou to everyone for your support and sponsorship. Matt has been my absolute rock, dragging me out and keeping me going.  I can't wait to not go for a run tomorrow 😃😃

Nearly £700 raised 🍾🍾💜💜

The home run

So the final week is here and I've only 4 more runs to go! We've been to Center Parcs and did a few runs there although in the dark as it was torrential rain all day!

I remember wanting to cry a little bit when I still had 60 runs to go but somehow here I am, almost finished. I have lost quite a bit of weight and told I'm now tiny when I wasn't really very big before!!! First stop on Thursday is five guys then 🤣🐷🍔

Thankyou for your continued support.

Day 56 and I've achieved a goal

I achieved a personal goal of a sun 6 minute kilometre today. Hooray

Run 50 done!!

Some days are really tough and I don’t want to go. Yesterday was good, quick and enjoyable. I've been quite ploddy lately so to be back at 6.28 mins per km was great.

Run 50 done

Yesterday was Run 50! I'm finding it hard going every day..

Still going

Happy new year! Run update....I'm still going! I had to submit to the lurgy over Christmas and it took me out of action for a week. I'm making it up with double runs or double distance, fitting it around work and life. Roll on Feb 29th!

Thankyou to my latest sponsors Hayley Bell and Sara Jane and to those who cheer me on, I really appreciate it. Running buddies always welcome. ❤️

Link if you'd like to sponsor me is in my next post.. thankyou so much x

Week 3 complete 😁

Did a bit extra this week as Matt and I did a local 5k christmas lights run so 10 miles this week. Feeling a bit sore throaty today and a bit of chest burn but managed ok and delivered some Christmas cards on the way round with Poppy! 😀

Week 2 done

A mix of weather this week and some night runs to fit round work but a lot easier without the ice. Monday nearly finished me off, running then netball training for an hour and my right quad is struggling. So I used my netball game on Wednesday as my mile to keep it from getting worse. Finished off this evening with a nice dry gentle run.
Chuffed to have 14 miles in the bag.

Week 1 done

Week 1 done, 12 more to go.
Friday icy and offroad
Saturday loved it
Sunday hangover from hell, Matt had to come
Monday good
Tuesday slippy
Wednesday dark and icy, I pretended I was a bus (bus routes are gritted)
Thursday dark and rain in face

Please sponsor me on January pay day 🙏🏼 🤗

I'm off!

Run 1 complete. I had to go off road as far too slippy on the tarmac today, I guess that's how it'll be! I ran all the way and feel like this is totally achievable, but then it is only day one.

Miss you Mum, I'd love you to be here to spoil the girls with advent calendars and cuddles.

Always in my heart ❤️

1 week to go

I'd love to say I've been out preparing, training, prepping for this but I haven't. So I guess I'll be relying on grit to get me off the sofa and out into the cold!

It's on..

Earlier this year I completed the run 28 miles in February challenge. Granted, it wasn't a huge distance but the challenge for me was the discipline to go outside every single day and run that mile, before work, after work, with a stinking cold, every day.

This year marks 8 whole years since I last saw my lovely mum and very very sadly we lost our dear Aunty Moonyean suddenly to the same hideous illness in July this year.

So, I'm running in memory of two of my favourite women, my matriarchs, who loved and cared for me and our whole family.

Every penny you can give helps to find a way to screen against and one day cure Pancreatic Cancer, saving precious lives.

Thankyou x
