More than half the people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months.
Hello there.My name is Andy and I recently lost my Dad and best mate to Pancreatic Cancer at the young age of 60.
I won't go into personal details about my Dad's diagnosis as he was a private person and I'd like to keep it that way.
Pancreatic cancer has the worst overall survival rate of all Cancers. The five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is around 8%. In 2021, 43% of pancreatic cancer cases were diagnosed at stage 4.
In this day in age and with advancements in medical technology, it is simply unacceptable.
Like me previously, you may read this and not give it a second thought. I never believed I'd lose my Dad to cancer. Let's get together and do what we can to help research for better treatment outcomes for those with this form of cancer.
It may be you or your family one day and wouldn't it be nice to know that there had been advancements in treatments for a better prognosis and survival rate.
