Support my challenge to fight for a world without pancreatic cancer
This September, I'm walking 140km for the 140 people who die from pancreatic cancer every 5 days in the UK.
This is a very personal cause to me as I had my pancreas removed as a result of cancer in 2025.
I would be so grateful if you could support me in raising a few £’s for this very worthy cause.
Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer in the UK.
So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 140km to remember those we've lost, and stand with those affected by pancreatic cancer.
Thanks
Alan

I have used this challenge to highlight that there can be positives and hope for people with PC. I was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine tumours in 2024, had several major surgeries in 2025 (including removal of my pancreas and spleen), am now Type 1 diabetic, take enzymes with my food along with with other meds, have lesions on my liver as a result of metastasis, for which I receive a monthly injection to help control. Despite all this, I live life to the full (to the best of my abilities), enjoying holidays, sport and socialising. Whatever life throws at you, make the most of it.
