I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK
Pancreatic Cancer UK is a charity very close to my heart and this year I am following in the footsteps of my amazing Mum to take on Challenge 24 by running 24k (almost 15 miles) throughout November which is pancreatic cancer awareness month.
24 people die from pancreatic cancer every day and I’m sure you will agree this needs to change. I know it will be completely impossible to surpass my mum's mindblowing total from last year but I am determined to do my bit. I have seen first hand how all donations (big and small!) provide vital funds for the research and development of treatment options as well as invaluable support and care for those dealing with this horrible illness.
Anyone who knows me well will be aware that I have always hated running! 24k might not seem like much to all those avid runners out there but trust me my lungs and knees will know about it… so, bit by bit, I will be running towards my goal and who knows, maybe I'll even enjoy it by the end of the month?!
