I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

It has been a year since we lost Grandad Del Boy. Pancreatic cancer is a monstrous disease, with over 50% of those diagnosed losing their battle within 3 months of diagnosis. For Grandad Del Boy it was just 10 days, and we're learning that this really shouldn't have been the case.

So this year I am doing the Challenge 24 again, fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK and, more importantly, trying to ensure sufferers are granted more time in the future. Whether that be better awareness and training to recognise symptoms earlier, or ensuring that recommended tests are carried out in a timely manner, more needs to be done to fight this disease and ensure patients get time to make choices - choices around treatment, choices around pain relief, choices in how they spend the rest of their lives. Grandad Del Boy did not have these choices due to lack of time, and I'm walking to stop this for families in the future.
