I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Pancreatic cancer is tough to diagnose, tough to treat and tough to research. Please support me and help make a difference to pancreatic cancer.
My lovely Dad was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. He had excellent care and treatment from the NHS before finally leaving us. I’d like to do something to raise some funds for research and walk a mile a day through May. If you would like to sponsor me then please do.
My donations could fund...
19 hours with a nurse on our Support Line
or
8 hours of early diagnosis research

Final walk
Bank Holiday Monday was the final mile around Stowe Pool. So pleased to finish in front of the Cathedral. Sticks raised in victory. Share
Sunday 24th Night walk
Last night was quite an evocative night. Lighting, sunset and the one I love. last but one walk for my Milathon Share
Sat 23rd Garden day
Today was a day that I spent a lot on my feet. Mostly at garden centres and then potting and planting. Ended up being one of the days with the most steps and therefore most miles. Share
Fri 22nd. Stowe pool walk part 2.
As enjoyed this walk on Wednesday so repeated some of it tonight. This time with the camera. Took in the development of the Old Picture House. Lichfield does have some beautiful buildings. Share
Lunchtime stroll
Thursday lunchtime. On duty at work so office bound. Glad to be able to get out at lunchtime for a circuit of the park Share
20th First trip to Stowe Pool
Walked from Cathedral down Reeve Lane and across to Stowe Pool. It was a beautiful stroll. Crossed over the pedestrian bridge to Bromford Housing and through the estate there. Some really pretty old timbered houses in amongst the not so attractive 1950s/60s housing. Back into town past 1709. Forgot the camera so will do the trip again. Share
18th/19th/ Back to work
Had last week off so any walks have been shorter but surprisingly enough I still clocked up enough steps to make a mile. They were just more boring and so no photos Share
16th/17th May Woodland walk in Beacon Park, Peace woodland and Darwin House
Lovely walk today with the dogs around the edge of Beacon Park, through the Woodland Walk, Chris was doing a run so we picked him up at the edge of the path which goes around the back of the golf course and next to allotments and back into Peace woodland. A nice day to sit for a while and look up Dads name again. Back through Darwin House Garden, the Climbing Rose is just beautiful. Share
14/15 May
Didn't walk much on the 14th but 15th made up for it around the Cathedral Close again and lots of walking around a garden centre and though to my garden many times. Legs certainly ached that day. Share
13th May. 3rd Wedding Anniversary
Todays walk was around Aldridge reminiscing about our wedding day. Stared at the Church Centre where reception was held, into the graveyard where great Grandmother is buried, walk over Cricket field, back via The Bonner memorial garden to Aldridge's Victoria Cross recipient, into the church, over the Croft and then the more boring stretch in the town. Photos included. Share
12th May International Nurses Day
Today was a baking day so the walking was backwards and forwards across the kitchen and a dog walk in The Close. It soon clocked up the miles. Monday I had cleaned the oven. Thought it a good idea to clean the plate glass in the door and unscrewed the glass only the catch fell out. Wonder how long before the M and I technicians re open. Facebook has the nurse projections on today Share
Sunday 10th May
This was an evening walk around Lichfield city. Just as we walked out we stumbled on the projections being played onto the Cathedral front which were being photographed for International Nurses day on the Tuesday. City was very quiet Share
9th May 2020
As didn't walk out too far yesterday walked out twice today. Four times round the Cathedral close is about a mile and half. Even chatted about best place to get milk with the local m.p. Share
VE day 8th May 2020
No separate walk but so many trip to kitchen and garden t set up for picnic that it soon clocked up over a mile Share
