I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, In Honour Of My Late Mum

Please consider supporting me in helping to raise awareness & vital funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK. I will be taking on ‘challenge 24’, in honour of my dear mum, who sadly passed away at 60yrs young in December of last year, after a 14month battle with this cruel & deadly disease. 


I would do absolutely anything to bring her back, but as this is not possible, I will be jogging 24 miles for pancreatic cancer awareness month this November (a mile a day for 24 days). Anyone that knows me well, will understand how much I despise cardio 🤣🙈!


No donation is too small! Honestly, I am beyond grateful for every penny, especially as I understand times are hard & Christmas is around the corner, but please know this is a very worthy cause & something we all need protection from. 


Sadly, being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer is pretty much a death sentence. In the UK alone, 24 people die daily of this cancer. This is unacceptable & one of the reasons why I am choosing to jog 24 miles this November. 


It is the deadliest common cancer, with more than half of people dying within three months of diagnosis. Survival rates for other cancers have improved dramatically in recent years. But decades of underfunding mean we still don’t have the tests and treatments to tackle this particular disease. 


People with pancreatic cancer have been overlooked and ignored for far too long. For my mum, she felt scared, alone & as though the healthcare system had given up on her. There needs to be more hope for people fighting this cancer!


This is why I’m fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK and I'd really appreciate your help. Your donations will support vital, world-leading research, ensure specialist nurses are there to take more calls and fuel campaigns to drive positive change.

Challenge Day 6

Day 6 of running in memory of my dear mum, who I miss beyond words! There is still plenty of time to help support me in raising awareness & much needed funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK. 


Unlike most other common cancers there is NO screening process for pancreatic cancer & it rarely shows any symptoms in its early stages! By the time it is detected, it is usually too late 😢


Pancreatic Cancer UK works to achieve life-saving breakthroughs & offers invaluable support through their helpline. The cause is very close to my heart, so please help me support others suffering through pancreatic cancer 🙏

🏃‍♀️Run number 3 complete ✅. (Thought this was supposed to get easier 🤣🙈).

I’ll be posting everyday during November for pancreatic cancer awareness month, so there’s still plenty of time to contribute 💟

Pancreatic cancer receives less than 3% of cancer research funds, yet it is classed as the deadliest common cancer, with more than half of people diagnosed passing away within 3 months 😢. Sadly pancreatic cancer is on the rise, so please consider donating to this worthy cause.

Challenge Day 2

🏃‍♀️Run number 2 complete ✅. I actually struggled more today than what I did yesterday, but thanks to all your generous donations it’s given me even more determination to do this💪! 


Also, thanks again for your contributions in helping me achieve my target. Every penny counts, with not a single pound going unnoticed, so thank you very, very much 🫶. 


More money is needed to help develop new tests to enable GPs to detect pancreatic cancer earlier & to fund innovative research to develop more effective treatments for pancreatic cancer. We need to protect our families from this killer disease, so please consider donating if you can 🙏💜

Challenge Day 1

Thank you to everyone who has so generously donated already! It means so much to me & my family & is something, I for one, will never forget! SO THANK YOU 💜

I’ve not long completed my first jog, which took me 13minutes to complete. Sounds easy enough, but trust me…13 minutes of non stop jogging, for someone like me, was more than a simple challenge! I did have to slow my pace right down & my calves seized up very early on (if anyone has any tips for preventing that, please get in touch🤞). Nonetheless, I completed day one of the challenge whilst thinking of my dear mum & all those fighting pancreatic cancer, every step of the way. Only 23 more days to go now 😬🙈, but hopefully I will get fitter & sleep better with each day.

I’m going to raise my target, as thanks to you lovely lot, I reached my original target within a couple of hours. Pancreatic cancer only receives 3% of the cancer research budget & considering it is classed as the deadliest of all cancers…this is simply unacceptable! Nothing is too small…every penny counts.
