My Dad - In Loving Memory

By Polly Johns

I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK. I'd love it if you'd support me and my fundraising to help fund early diagnosis research breakthroughs that will transform the future.

With pancreatic cancer, silence is deadly. It’s a disease that gets too little attention and funding and far too many people are dying. Half of people diagnosed die within 3 months. Research will transform the future for pancreatic cancer. Thank you for supporting me!

My donations could fund...

0 hours with a nurse on our Support Line

I understand completely that every cancer is brutal but this silent killer is insidious and, by the time a diagnosis is made, it is, more often than not, already too late to help.

Though my Dad was elderly, he was so physically fit; and the signs of pancreatic cancer were missed by his GP for several months, blaming indigestion and old age for his symptoms of stomach pain, weight loss and backache.  When eventually he saw a specialist he was given six months to live; he lasted for three…
