I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer. More than half of people die within three months of diagnosis.

Survival rates for other cancers have improved dramatically in recent years. But decades of underfunding mean we still don’t have the tests and treatments to tackle this disease. People with pancreatic cancer have been overlooked and ignored for far too long.

That’s why I’m fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK and I'd really appreciate your support. Your donations will support vital, world-leading research, ensure specialist nurses are there to take more calls and fuel campaigns to drive positive change.

Together, we will bring more than hope to people affected by pancreatic cancer.

A big push 💜

💜 Hello Everyone 💜,

This is a shameless plug on my fundraiser in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK Fundraisers and memory of my late Dad who sadly had to leave us in October.

We are currently sat at £1435 (plus gift aid) and I am now aiming to push this to £1500.

I am aiming to cover 55miles in November  for Pancreatic Cancer UK Fundraisers as part of a promise to my dad, and in a bid to change the future of those diagnosed with the disease, and the loved ones of them.  I am 5 days in and currently at approximately 16miles.

Research for Pancreatic Cancer is underfunded and it is one of the most deadliest common cancers. Unfortunately, most people with it do not find out until it is too late. More funding is needed to help to find early detection and treatment. 

Without doubt, this has been the most difficult thing our family have had to face. I just know there are so many people who will be going through this or go through this and hope we can help make a change.

I know that times are tough, but they’re even tougher when the ones you love aren’t here. Thank you to everyone who has donated and shared so far; I hope we can help to be ‘More than hope’ 💜

For Dad ❤️ I will be walking or running (struggling) with the aim to reach 55 miles throughout the month of November in aid of Pancreatic cancer awareness month.

After 4 years of other medical battles, including bowel cancer in 2019 (which he overcame), our amazing Dad, truly amazing, was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in August 2024. His age only 55. With this in mind I am therefore aiming for a goal to raise £550.

Anyone who knows me will know I’m not a walker and am most definitely not a runner!

Please, please, if there is one thing you do today, whether it is sharing this page or donating to this cause, help me and my family raise awareness of this disease.

Our hearts have broken for our amazing and resilient father, son, brother and husband. We hope by fundraising in his honour, we can help contribute to life saving research so less people have to go through this.
