I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

After a long battle with pancreatic cancer, I sadly lost my nan earlier on in 2022 and have made the decision to try and raise some funds to help towards those battling this horrible disease!

You can no doubt read up a lot about Pancreatic Cancer online, but it is one of the hardest cancers to diagnose and extremely hard to cure.

I've decided to set myself a challenge which should really test out not only the body, but also the mind by running every day in July the number of kilometers of that day.  For example, on the 1st of July I'll run 1km, followed by 2km on the 2nd July, all the way through to 31km on the 31st July.  This will mean I'll be racking up a total of 496km in the month and having to endure 196km in the final week which will really test me!

After not making it through the ballot for the 2022 London Marathon I’ve decided to set myself a running challenge in July of this year to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK!
I’ve challenged myself to run every day of the month, the number of KM of that day…so that’ll be 1km on the 1st, 2km on the 2nd all the way to 30km on the 30th and finishing up with a gruelling 31km on Sunday 31st July.  This will total 496km over the 31 days, finishing up with 196km in that final week!
I’ve never run more than a half marathon, so this should really push me to my limits and I’ll be posting updates daily on here and on Strava so you can track my progress of my training and throughout July.

Sadly earlier this year I lost my nan after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. I knew very little about pancreatic cancer before the last few years, but it is one of 10 most common cancers, has the lowest survival rate of these top 10 and unfortunately only 20% of people are diagnosed at an early enough stage for an effective cure!

So I’ll be looking to fundraise for this great cause at Pancreatic Cancer UK and would very much appreciate anything you’re able to give before, during or after my challenge to help this worthy cause!
