Walking the challenge for Dad

I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

In March of this year I lost my dad to Pancreatic Cancer.  For a number of months my dad was left undiagnosed albiet being treated for a number of conditions.  Only when he was diagnosed did we finally find out the underlying issue and that sadly there is little that can be done for this type of cancer.

Working in a cancer environment myself I often hear of stories of successful treatments and it is hard to be told that for this form of cancer there is little that can be done.

In the end we had 1 week to digest and spend our final precious moments with dad.  Throughout he never really lost his humour and was always making sure we were all ok.

I hope that with this small gesture of fundraising we can help fund valuable research to help others in the same situation.  The goal should always be to be rid of this horrible disease and I look forward to a day where Pancreatic Cancer is treatable and perhaps one day avoidable.

Pancreatic cancer is tough to diagnose, tough to treat and tough to research. Please support me and help make a difference to pancreatic cancer.

My donations could fund...

10 hours with a nurse on our Support Line

or

4 hours of early diagnosis research
