24 Hour Golf Challenge for Pancreatic Cancer UK
As this year's Men's Section Captain of Slinfold Golf Club, I have selected Pancreatic Cancer UK as my chosen charity in the hope of raising £5,000.
I’ve chosen to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of my brother-in-law Steve.
Sadly, 24 people die each day from pancreatic cancer in the UK. Pancreatic Cancer UK encourages people to take on a challenge around the number 24 to raise awareness and raise money.
Together with 23 other golfers who are brave and crazy enough, between us we will be playing golf for 24 hours straight from midday on Wednesday 12th July to midday on Thursday 13th July. This means we'll be playing overnight and enjoying the challenges of night golf - with glow-in-the-dark balls and glowsticks to mark out the course! It should be great fun.
Pancreatic cancer is tough to diagnose, tough to treat and tough to research. Please support our 24 hour golf challenge and help make a difference.

Hi all, Laurence here. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far. Thanks to your generosity, we are already over halfway towards our target of £5,000, which we are now hoping to achieve and exceed.Our plans for the 24 Hour Golf Challenge are well underway. We have now secured all the equipment needed for night golf - including glow-in-the-dark balls, glow sticks, headlamp torches, flood lights!
Members of the Burgess Hill Round Table and 41 Club have been fondly remembering my brother-in-law Steve Parsons who we lost to pancreatic cancer in 2004 at just 52.
