In memory of my little sister Carol Edgley

By Kendall Edgley

I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Pancreatic cancer is tough to diagnose, tough to treat and tough to research. Please support me and help make a difference to pancreatic cancer.

My little sister Carol fought this disease with absolute bravery. She didn’t win the war but she survived way past her original diagnosis of 14 weeks. After beating it the first time, it came back with boots on, with Carol finally passing around 44 weeks after her initial diagnosis. Carol was brave, braver than me. She wanted to help others even though she was fighting for her life. She made some videos with Pancreatic Cancer which will be posted soon on social media to help others. This is her legacy. I want to raise more money for research and to help them help others. This is what Carol wanted. This is what I want.

Her legacy is her kindness, her heart, her smile. I miss them. But she is in my heart and if we can help even one person by raising some money into this awful disease. Pancreatic Cancer is a rare form of this horrible disease. It doesn’t get the headlines, but it is awful. I can’t describe adequately just how brave my sister was, she danced away until she couldn’t. She was an inspiration. I want her legacy to live on.
