We are 4 ordinary guys and by no means seasoned cyclists we are going to do a 50 mile bike ride in memory of our late grandfather

Ride done

All 3 of us complete d the ride yesterday with minimum issues full route completed castleford to Beverley 07:30am till 1400 hot day aswell yesterday 

Sent it

Went out other week did a 35 mile round trip on the proposed route not a bad run in all honesty was surprised how many hills there is on way there 

Bikes are back

Got the bikes back from repair shop over the weekend went out on a little ride to try and get back into things wasn't a long ride but wasn't an easy one either due to having 2 months off but getting there slowly the date is getting closer and closer we are very excited and feeling ready 

Got the bikes back

Took longer than we first thought but we have the bikes back from repairs and all is well be getting back out riding in next couple of days donations have been coming in fast aswel past couple of weeks thanks 

Still been very quiet

Due to spells of rather bad weather and bikes still beig repaired we've not been able to get riding and getting the donation s as often as planned but very soon bikes will be repaired and the weather should be getting better so be out and about getting the training miles done and getting more donations in 

We've been quite

Been quite recently as we've all gone back to work and still trying to get everything fitted in and 2 of the bikes needed booking into the bike shop for repairs be back in the saddle soon and pushing harder six month left 

Most far ride yet

Been out for a ride today done just over 21 mile in two and a half hours on mixed terrain definitely burnt the Christmas treats away 

First ride

Been out on the bike today starting out strong done around 8 miles today hopefully weather depending can get some more riding done over the Christmas period

Bikes

Bikes have been dropped off today bit of tlc needed but nothing too major any excuse to get the spanners out all being well me and my brother Tom can start the new year with our first training ride down by the canal 

Getting some bikes

2 mountain bikes have been very nicely donated to 2 of the 4 grandchildren participating so hopefully can get them picked up soon and get some riding done and get some photos and updates for people interested in this event
