I’m fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK

As many of you know, 'Our Anth' is currently fighting the bravest battle against pancreatic cancer.

This has absolutely devastated our entire family and it's been especially hard for his wife Sarah, daughters Lacie & Hollie and son Archie.

After helping to arrange the most beautiful wedding a few weeks ago, other than hospital runs and shopping trips, there's very little practical stuff we can do...

So we decided to put our minds to a new challenge and aim to raise £500 for Pancreatic Cancer UK during Pancreatic Cancer awareness month in November.

Throughout November, we will be walking 24 miles. On Saturday 11th November, our tribe will be meeting at The Ridings in Chipping Sodbury, to complete our remaining miles together.

Did you know that pancreatic cancer has been left behind.

Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers. Sadly, for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case.

Currently, more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer lose their fight within 3 months. This is unacceptable.

Research into pancreatic cancer has been underfunded for decades – it only receives 3% of the UK cancer research budget. This is three times less than research spent on breast cancer.

We appreciate times are tough for everyone, but if you can spare a fiver to help us towards our goal, it will really get us motivated to get through our challenge ❤️

You are also welcome to join our little mission by joining us on our walk - the more the merrier!

If you don't fancy walking the whole way, join us for a lap or bring us a cake and cheer us on from the sidelines. We'll need all of the motivation we can get - we're typically lazy buggers who drive everywhere 🤭

Thank you in advance for your support and donations 💜

My donations could fund...

2 hours with a nurse on our support line

1 hours of early diagnosis research

My Updates

Update 💜

Challenge 24 officially complete on 29th November - finally got that last pesky mile in.

A massive thank you, for all those who've donated to our team page as a whole. It's not gone unnoticed and although it couldn't change our story, hopefully the future of pancreatic cancer research can change with people like you.

Sadly Our Anth lost his fight on the 27th November, and whilst it hurts our hearts so much, we know he is at peace now, free of the pain that this cruel disease caused.

Thanks again for your donations,

Jodie and the rest of Tony's Tribe 💜
